Dee Poon Shares Perspectives on Building Global Brands from China at the 2026 Milken Institute Asia Summit

On October 7, Dee Poon, Board Member of Tessellation Group and President of Brands and Retailing, participated in the 2026 Milken Institute Asia Summit in Singapore.
In the session “From China to the World: Building Global Brands,” Dee shared her perspective on how China’s manufacturing, consumer and talent ecosystems are shaping the development of global brands.
Drawing on Tessellation’s development, Dee described the Group as an ecosystem that brings together manufacturing, brands and sustainable technologies. She explained how manufacturing can drive innovation up the value chain into green supply-chain technology and consumer products. She added that manufacturing gives companies a ground-up view of what can be done, helping them recognize where they can create value and bring solutions to consumers faster.
Dee also highlighted how China’s digital-commerce platforms provide detailed consumer insights and are closely connected to manufacturing ecosystems, helping companies respond quickly to changing demand. She noted that opportunities for entrepreneurs and creative talent vary across industries, with proximity to supply chains and openness to new ideas among the factors shaping where entrepreneurs choose to build.
Building on its manufacturing foundation, Tessellation continues to develop technologies, solutions and brands that respond to evolving market needs and support the industry’s long-term competitiveness—an ambition reflected in its vision, “Defining the Status Quo for Tomorrow.”
