DETERMINANT Joins Industry Dialogue on Circular Textile at ReThink HK 2026

On 10 September, DETERMINANT joined industry leaders at ReThink HK 2026 to explore how collaboration across the textile value chain can turn promising material innovations into commercially viable products.

Clement Chan, General Manager of DETERMINANT APAC, participated in the panel discussion “Asia’s Materials Revolution: Building Circular Textiles Through Partnerships,” sharing a brand perspective on what it takes to bring circular textile innovations to market.

“The product first has to earn the customer’s choice through quality, design and value. Sustainability should strengthen that choice, not be the reason we ask customers to compromise.”

Clement emphasized that sustainability can strengthen a product’s value, but it cannot replace the fundamentals. New materials must appeal to customers, make commercial sense, and deliver consistent quality. Close collaboration across design, sourcing, and production is therefore essential to overcoming implementation barriers while maintaining the trust customers place in a brand.

By bringing together innovation, commercial viability, and collaboration across the value chain, DETERMINANT continues to explore practical ways to advance circular textiles and contribute to a more sustainable and resilient future for the industry.
