qonvolv Systems and Lizion Future Launch Embodied Precision Manipulation Workstation for Flexible Materials

qonvolv Systems and Lizion Future have jointly launched the Embodied Precision Manipulation Workstation for Flexible Materials, alongside a precision handling module for textile production.

Handling flexible fabrics remains a challenge in industrial automation. The newly developed solution integrates vision, six-axis force/torque sensing, and tactile sensing to detect the physical properties of fabrics and adapt its handling approach in real time, enabling more precise and consistent operations across different materials.

Designed for industrial applications, the module and workstation have been tested across more than 70 types of woven and knitted fabrics, including plain-weave fabrics, twill, Oxford cloth, and piqué. Following tens of thousands of tests in industrial environments, the solution has achieved a precision manipulation success rate exceeding 99%. It also supports changeover in seconds without repeated manual parameter tuning, helping manufacturers accommodate frequent product changeovers and smaller production runs.

The solution offers flexible deployment options to meet different production needs. The module can be integrated into existing workstations and production lines, while the standalone workstation can be deployed on new production lines or used to upgrade individual processes. Beyond fabric separation and loading, potential applications include material alignment, preparation for sewing, and finished-product sorting. The solution may also be adapted for other industries that handle flexible materials.

Through this collaboration, qonvolv Systems and Lizion Future are working to translate advances in embodied AI, sensing, and robotic manipulation into practical manufacturing solutions. The development reflects Tessellation Group's continued focus on advancing intelligent manufacturing through technology partnerships, with the aim of improving production flexibility, operational efficiency, and the scalability of industrial automation.
